Terms & Conditions for Best Friends Pet Services, LLC.

Welcome to Best Friends Pet Services, LLC. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our pet care services. By booking or using our services, you agree to these Terms in full. Please read them carefully.

1. Services Provided

Best Friends Pet Services, LLC offers professional pet care services, including but not limited to pet sitting, dog walking, and drop-in visits. Specific services will be outlined in your individual booking confirmation or service agreement.

2. Booking and Payment

  • Booking: All services must be booked in advance through our Time To Pet client portal at https://www.timetopet.com/portal/bfpetservices. Bookings are subject to availability and confirmed only after receiving confirmation from us.

  • Payment: Payment is required at the time of booking or as otherwise agreed. We accept payments securely via Stripe.

  • Rates: Current service rates are listed on our website and are subject to change with prior notice.

  • Late or Missed Payments: Failure to pay on time may result in cancellation of services or additional fees.

3. Extended Care Fee

Our Extended Care Fee applies when care is required beyond the standard overnight stay duration. This ensures your pet receives attentive care for the full duration of your absence.

  • Extended Care (2–8 additional hours beyond overnight): Additional fee equal to 50% of your nightly rate.

  • Extended Care (more than 8 additional hours beyond overnight): Additional fee equal to 100% of your nightly rate.

  • Notice and Agreement: If an Extended Care Fee applies to your booking, you will be notified in advance, and the applicable amount will be noted in your booking confirmation.

Example with $100 Standard Overnight Rate:

  • 2–8 additional hours = +$50

  • More than 8 additional hours = +$100

4. Cancellations and Refunds

General Cancellation Policy

  • Client Cancellations: Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled service to avoid a fee.

  • Cancellation Fee: If a cancellation occurs less than 24 hours before the service, a fee of 50% of the scheduled visit/stay rate will apply.

  • Provider Cancellations: In rare cases, we may need to cancel or reschedule services due to emergencies or unforeseen circumstances. We will notify you as soon as possible and work to find alternatives.

Detailed Cancellation Policies

Dog Walk Standard Cancellation

  • 24+ hours’ notice: No charge.

  • Late Cancellation (<24 hours): 50% of scheduled rate.

  • No-Show / Lockout: 100% of scheduled rate.

  • Holiday Cancellation (Major Holidays): Require 48 hours’ notice; otherwise charged at 100% of scheduled rate including holiday surcharge.

  • How to Cancel: Through the Time To Pet portal. Emergency? Text us immediately.

Drop-In Visit Standard Cancellation

  • 24+ hours’ notice: No charge.

  • Late Cancellation (<24 hours): 50% of scheduled rate.

  • No-Show / Lockout: 100% of scheduled rate.

  • Holiday Cancellation (Major Holidays): Require 48 hours’ notice; otherwise charged at 100% of scheduled rate including holiday surcharge.

Overnight Care Standard Cancellation

  • 24+ hours’ notice: No charge.

  • Late Cancellation (<24 hours): 50% of scheduled rate.

5. Client Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate information about your pet(s), including medical history and behavior.

  • Ensure vaccinations are current and your home is accessible.

  • Notify us of any changes to your pet’s condition or your plans.

6. Pet Health and Safety

  • We will provide reasonable care for your pet(s), but inherent risks exist.

  • You agree to hold Best Friends Pet Services, LLC harmless for incidents except in cases of gross negligence.

  • Veterinary care may be sought at your expense in emergencies.

7. Liability

  • We are not liable for damages caused by your pet(s) or third-party actions unless due to our gross negligence.

  • We are not responsible for property damage resulting from your pet’s behavior.

8. Access to Your Property

  • You grant us permission to enter your property to perform agreed-upon services.

  • We will take reasonable precautions to secure your home.

9. Privacy

We handle your personal information according to our Privacy Policy.

10. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms. Changes will be posted on our website with a new effective date. Continued use of services after updates constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California.
