We provide a level of dedicated oversight and environmental enrichment that goes beyond a standard check-in, ensuring your companion thrives under the care of a certified professional. Every session is handled with the mindfulness and expertise your companion deserves.

Note: Puppies under one (1) year of age are served exclusively via our specialized Elite Puppy Foundation sessions. See "Essential Care Fees" below for developmental block details.

Every wellness session is delivered through our signature Stewardship Protocol, ensuring your companion’s sanctuary remains tranquil, hygienic, and meticulously overseen.

    • Mindful Wellness & Nutrition: Meals are served according to precise owner instructions; water is refreshed at every visit.

    • Species-Specific Enrichment: Dedicated time for interactive play, habitat exploration, or gentle companionship tailored to the pet's unique personality.

    • Hygiene & Habitat Stewardship: Meticulous maintenance of litter boxes and enclosures to ensure a hygienic environment for the companion.

    • Medication Administration: Professional administration of oral or topical medications as required, adhering to established safety standards.

    • Safe Haven Oversight: Every visit concludes with a verified security check, including lock verification, climate stability, and light/blind rotation to maintain a secure, occupied appearance.

    • Transparent Communication: Clients receive a Digital Wellness Report via Time To Pet, including GPS verification, a photo, and professional observations.

  • To ensure the safety and professional precision of our care, we require the following standards:

    • Verified Health Documentation: Verifiable proof of Rabies vaccination (for dogs/cats) must be uploaded and approved prior to service.

    • Behavioral & Medical Transparency: Owners are required to provide full disclosure of all known medical conditions or physical limitations. Company oversight is strictly focused on monitoring immediate well-being based on the baseline history provided by the owner.

    • Emergency Response vs. Clinical Diagnosis: While Company providers are certified in Cat & Dog CPR and Advanced First Aid, these are utilized strictly as emergency response skills for crisis management. The Company is not a veterinary provider and does not diagnose medical ailments.

    • Identification & Security: All canine and feline companions must wear a secure collar or harness with current ID tags. For small companions and pocket pets, the Company requires verified secure habitats with locking mechanisms to ensure environmental safety. Microchipping is highly recommended for all eligible species.

    • Secure Household Access: Owners must provide reliable access to the property (e.g., two sets of keys, a secure lockbox, or a verified smart-lock code) at the time of the Private Consultation.

    • Emergency Preparedness: Owners must provide up-to-date emergency contact information for themselves and a local alternate contact authorized to make decisions in their absence.

    • Adequate Provisions: Owners are responsible for ensuring a sufficient supply of food, medication, and necessary pet care items for the duration of the scheduled services.

    • Digital-First Communication: To ensure the highest level of accuracy, all care instructions must be managed through the secure Time To Pet profile. The Company does not accept handwritten notes to ensure no detail of care is overlooked.

    • Environmental Stewardship: A safe, sanitary home environment with functional climate control is required. To ensure the safety of your companion during our time together, the home must be maintained between 68–78°F (or 75°F or lower for brachycephalic/senior companions). If the home is found to be outside this range, we will prioritize your companion's safety by attempting to rectify the environment (e.g., adjusting thermostats or ventilation) as a professional courtesy. To maintain our commitment to punctuality, please note that time spent addressing property readiness is included within the scheduled service window.

    • Right to Refuse & Professional Discretion: To maintain the Gold Standard of safety and the integrity of our professional environment, Best Friends Pet Services LLC reserves the right to refuse service or terminate a care agreement at any time. This includes cases where a companion’s temperament poses a risk to themselves or the care provider, or where a client’s requests fall outside our established Stewardship Protocol. We are committed to a partnership of mutual respect and professional alignment.

    • Additional Companion Fee: +5 per pet, per visit (Applies to pets 2 through 5).

    • Elite Puppy Foundation (Under 1 Year): For our youngest companions, we bridge the gap between clinical wellness and home-based growth. To ensure your puppy receives the focused oversight required for success, all Wellness Visits for companions under one year are booked as specialized sessions:

      • 45-Minute Developmental Wellness Visit: $60

      • 60-Minute Comprehensive Wellness Visit: $70

      Stewardship Focus: These sessions provide dedicated time for focused relief success, meal/supplement management, and high-engagement enrichment. Every visit includes a detailed Vitality & Behavioral Report to track potty-training progress and developmental growth. We prioritize a calm, consistent environment within the sanctuary of the home to secure essential behavioral milestones and emotional stability.

    • Habitat Stewardship: +5 per habitat, per day (Specialized oversight for small mammals, birds, or reptiles in enclosures):

      • Includes: Daily nutritional replenishment, fresh water refresh, and spot-cleaning of the immediate living area to maintain a sanitary environment.

      • Exclusion Standard: To maintain our focus on wellness monitoring, this service does not include "deep cleaning," full substrate replacement, or complete habitat breakdowns/scrubbing. Habitats must be provided in a clean, professional condition at the start of service.

    The 5-Companion Capacity Standard: To maintain professional liability compliance and the highest safety standards, we service a maximum of five (5) total companions per household.

    • Occupancy Definition: This limit includes all primary companions (dogs/cats) and habitat-based companions (birds, pocket pets, etc.).

    • Safety Threshold: We do not offer services for households exceeding five total companions to ensure our High-Acuity Wellness Monitoring oversight and insurance protections are never compromised.

    Professional Service Surcharges

    • Holiday Observance: +10 per visit (See Availability for designated dates).

    • Priority Booking: +10 for requests made with less than 24-hour notice.

    • After-Hours Wellness Surcharge: +10 per visit. Applied to any Boutique Wellness Visit scheduled between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM to compensate for professional availability during non-standard "tuck-in" hours.

    • Mandatory Climate Standard: All homes must be maintained between 68–78°F (or 75°F or lower for brachycephalic/senior companions). Failure to maintain a safe environment may result in emergency relocation fees.

    • Professional Travel Protocol: To maintain the punctuality and dedicated focus required for our Stewardship Standards, Best Friends Pet Services LLC operates within a primary service hub centered in La Mesa.

      1. The Primary Hub (In-Network)

      Residences located within our primary Greater La Mesa hub enjoy our standard investment rates. This proximity allows for seamless transitions between sessions and ensures our "Gold Standard" of care is never compromised by transit variables.

      2. The Logistical Travel Surcharge (Out-of-Network)

      For residences located outside our primary hub, a Logistical Travel Surcharge is applied to protect the integrity of your pet’s schedule and our provider’s availability.

      • Promenades & Wellness Visits: A per-visit surcharge (typically $10–$25) is applied to account for the transit buffer required to guarantee our arrival window.

      • Distinguished Residencies: A nightly logistical premium (typically $20–$50 per night) is applied. This secures our dedicated presence at your estate and offsets the opportunity cost of operating outside our central service hub.

      3. Verification & Custom Quotes

      To verify if your residence falls within our primary hub or requires a logistical adjustment, please proceed to our Initial Inquiry Form. All travel protocols are confirmed via a Custom Quote based on precise distance and anticipated transit requirements before services are officially secured.

  • Standard Service Days

    • Active Service Days: Tuesday – Saturday

    • Administrative Stewardship: Sundays and Mondays are primarily reserved for administrative management, Private Consultations, and professional recharging.

    • Elite Accessibility: To ensure we remain energized and present for our companions, Sundays and Mondays are primarily reserved for Administrative Stewardship. However, we are pleased to offer Elite Accessibility on these days for established clients. As long as requests are made with at least 24 hours' notice, standard rates apply. Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice remain subject to the Priority Booking Surcharge.

    Service Windows & Safety

    • Arrival Windows: Boutique Wellness Visits are generally available between 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM.

    • After-Hours Wellness: Visits scheduled between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM are subject to a +10 After-Hours Surcharge to ensure professional availability for premium "tuck-in" care.

    • Secure Stewardship Protocol: Every visit includes a perimeter check and security verification (doors/windows/alarms) upon arrival and departure to ensure the integrity of the home.

    • Holiday Observance: We are honored to provide care on major holidays. A +10 Holiday Surcharge applies per visit.

    • Seasonal Communication: Any specific dates of complete seasonal closure will be communicated to active clients well in advance via the portal.

  • All payments are processed securely through our digital infrastructure, powered by Stripe and managed exclusively via the Time To Pet portal.

    Payment Schedule

    • Individual Promenades & Wellness Visits: Full payment is required at the time of booking to finalize the reservation and secure the provider’s availability on the Company calendar.

    • The Gold Circle Packages: Payment for curated recurring packages is due in full upon scheduling to activate the exclusive service frequency and discounted rate structure.

    Accepted Methods

    • Digital Payment (Preferred): For immediate confirmation and security, the Company accepts all major credit cards.

    • Professional Invoicing: A comprehensive, itemized invoice is generated for every service rendered and remains accessible within the Client Portal for the owner's records and accounting purposes.

  • To ensure fair compensation for our professional commitments and reserved time, we adhere to the following standards:

    • Standard Cancellation: We require a minimum of 24 hours' notice. Cancellations made outside this window incur no charge.

    • Late Cancellation: Requests made with less than 24 hours' notice are billed at 100% of the scheduled rate.

    • Access & No-Show: If the care provider is unable to access the home or the pet is unavailable, the service is billed at 100% of the rate to cover the reserved time and logistics.

    • Method: All schedule modifications and cancellations must be submitted via the Time To Pet portal.

    Prospective Clients: Structured Onboarding

    To initiate our partnership, please complete the Phase 1: Secure Initial Inquiry form located on our Get Started page. This allows our team to review your companion’s specific clinical or habitat needs and ensure alignment with our Stewardship Standards. If a potential match is determined, we will provide a Preliminary Wellness Strategy and an invitation to your Private Consultation.

    Established Clients: Real-Time Management

    All future wellness visits and care modifications are managed through your secure Time To Pet portal. Through the portal, you may update habitat or nutritional instructions and communicate directly with your professional care provider.

    Priority & Approval

    Services are submitted as Pending Requests. Please note our +$10 Priority Booking Surcharge for requests made with less than 24-hour notice. Bookings are officially finalized and added to the schedule once the Approved status is confirmed.
